I have been an office fan since the beginning. NO MORE! Microsoft has just made a draconian change to its office licensing scheme. Until now you could install your office product on two pcs. Typically a desktop and note book. And when you bought a new pc you could remove office from the old pcs and install it on the new pc. This is a balanced, logical, fair and reasonable approach. Now, Microsoft in its infinite wisdom has decided you can only install office 2013 on one pc. AND THIS LICENSE IS NOW ONLY GOOD FOR THAT ONE PC. YOU CAN NEVER INSTALL IT ON A SECOND PC AND YOU CAN NEVER MOVE IT TO A NEW PC. YOU ALSO NEED TO PURCHASE A SECOND COPY FOR YOUR NOTEBOOK. THIS IS A UNBALANCED, ILLOGICAL, UNFAIR AND UNREASONABLE APPROACH. So, for example, say you install office 2013 on your two year old desktop and the PC dies two days later. Tough luck you would need to buy a new version of office for that new PC. This is UNBELIEVABLE and whoever in Microsoft came up with and approved this policy should be fired. The only way to stop this insanity is to not buy this product until Microsoft gets the message and changes this incredible bad policy. From articles that I have read this policy is suppose to INSPIRE me to use there cloud based office 365 subscription service. It has failed to do this and instead all it has done is upset and alienate me to the point I will not buy or use either.
