My tank had velvet. I was using Paraguard to treat it when I discovered that the quantity on the label (1 cap=5ml) does not match the actual cap volume (1 cap is actually only 3ml). Called Seachem and they said the disparity comes from the fact that this product uses a child proof cap and their other products do not. The childproof cap has a lower volume. As you can see from the pics, the cap can only hold 3ml, not 5ml as the directions indicate. The reason my velvet didn’t go away after 3 weeks of dosing the tank may very well be because the directions are wrong! And now I can’t continue dosing as it will start to negatively impact the fish. Very bad error on Seachem part. UPDATE: was directed online to try another product called aap medicated wonder shells. Contact their customer service, who were fantastic. They helped me through this predicament and a week after dosing with the medicated Wonder Shell the velvet is gone. I like Seachem products but this is a grievous error.
