Like most Gen X and Millennials, we waited TWENTY years for this sequel to The Coldest Winter Ever and I am honestly at a loss for words. I always try to find the positive in a book review but honestly couldn't for this book. It was like a completely different author wrote this novel. Our favorite characters were turned into unrealistic and unfathomable beings. Far out themes were introduced like beastiality, purgatory, homophobia and extreme religion. I was completely turned off and disappointed. I'm honestly wondering how this book was green lit for publishing. I feel sad that the legacy of the first novel was ruined. This is one you can save your money on or maybe grab from a friend to see just how bad it got. Signed a heart-broken reader.
