She doesn't go bounding onto it like its a trampoline
I was really hopeful about this cot. My 94 lb dog loves it but it's simply not able to deal with her weight even though it's rated at 150lbs. She doesn't go bounding onto it like its a trampoline. She's always stepped carefully in and out of it like it could turn on her at any moment. That's why I'm surprised that it's not holding up. I bought this not quite 1 month ago and the center mesh fabric is already pulling away from the canvas fabric border. I expect the material to fail completely in a couple days. I won't be buying a replacement piece for it. I may hunt around a bit to see if I can just sew a big canvas patch over the whole center in order to get some more use out of it.
Dec. 1st Update: Well, it's about had it. Now the seam that forms the sleeve that the frame slips through is tearing at multiple points. Dropping to 1 star. This isn't a failure caused by dog clawing/chewing. The seam is ripping because it can't handle a dog that weighs less than the rated capacity of the cot. Included pic shows one of the failure points.
Mar. 2016 update: I've had to replace the fabric on both cots with sturdy canvas now. The original material was simply not up to any serious task. I've also discovered that despite these cots spending their entire time on a wood laminate floor that the plastic caps at the bottom of the legs have worn through, exposing the metal of the leg. I didn't think I'd have to replace those too. :/ Well, at least the metal frame is holding up. It's got that going for it.
