I've been using this litter for over a year and a half. At first, and after a very time consuming process of trial and error with every natural litter you can imagine, I thought I'd finally hit the jackpot because it clumped so well, kept odor under control, and was natural and safe for my cats. The price was also very reasonable, at times being as low as $10-$12 for an 18 pound box. In the past several months though, the price has risen significantly, and today, 10/16/17, it is over $30 a box! I understand supply and demand to an extent, but this price hike seems really extreme. The last two boxes I have purchased have also been very different in quality, the clumps fall apart very easily and stay super wet, which means when I scoop, the large clump breaks into small clumps of soaked litter that are just too small for my scoop to sift. Thus, I have to completely change the litter way more frequently now because it starts to smell sooner and my cats dislike it. In the past, the litter clumped so tightly and absorbed so much that I could easily use the same base litter for a month, topping it off as needed. I hate to think that I once again need to search for the ever elusive perfect, safe and natural cat litter, but I am beginning to think I don't have a choice.
