🔥🔥100% JUNK! 🔥🔥 :::UPDATE:::
:::UPDATE::: Upon describing problem with those product to Amazon customer service, they immediately offered you provide full credit WITHOUT having to return faulty, sub-quality product.
THIS is how to satisfy customers. I can say that despite the handful of problems I've experienced with Amazon, they REALLY do their absolute best to solve the problem, and successfully so. Great job Amazon!
😡😡😡ATTENTION!!!😡😡😡
Amazon really needs to reconsider allowing such subquality, cheaply made overseas products, to dominate such a broad spectrum of their product offerings. These Starxing Puck Lights with Remote, likely cost about $1.50 to manufacture—which is exactly how they work and feel.
Absolute junk. Cheap, thin plastic that emits a weak stream of light that hardly registers on a light meter. I've tried to return these to Amazon, but they want to charge me $5.99 to issue a pick up order, instead they expect me to take the return to a post office during a PANDEMIC to use the free return my Prime membership includes.
After receiving my Starxing Puck lights 6 Qty order, and unpacking the order, the first problem I noticed, is one of the lights was missing the back. I eagerly popped two AAA batteries into one of the remaining 5 intact lights, closed the unit and tested the lights. Success!
Then I attached a piece of double-stick tape to the bottom of the unit, selected an appropriate location under a cabinet, and affixed it.
I then applied pressure to the light until it clicked, and the light turned on. I not these lights to illuminate the counter in the kitchen that otherwise is dark enough that it is unpleasant to prepare food.
I had great expectations for these Starxing lights, based on the plentiful positive reviews and the illustrations used to show the dramatic effects I should expect from installing these lights.
I am really disappointed. These lights are very insubstantial, made from thin plastic, low quality bulbs resulting from an overall product not much unlike a $3 flashlight found at the nearby Dollar Store.
And in the end, the light they produce is the most disappointing of all. I couldn’t believe the weak level of light they produce. Frankly I would have been happier to have only received a quantity of four, and they could have spent more money on producing a more powerful, brighter light.
So I decided to return these and get a refund. As a Prime member, this is free—or is it? If I want a FULL REFUND, I have to pack everything up, take it to an Amazon Dropoff location, exit my car she take it in to have someone review a code that provides access to instructions for returning the item to Amazon.
Or, I can print a return shipping label pack the box up for shipping and request a UPS pickup, costing me $11.99. This is more than half of the price paid for the product to begin with.
This is unacceptable for the following reasons; As a Prime member, free shipping and returns suggests that I can purchase items from Amazon and they will be shipped to me with no shipping fee, and if for some reason I must return an item, I can do so incurring no fee.
During a pandemic that has already killed over 100,000 American citizens, it seems Amazon believes that I am willing to get in my car and drive to the nearest Amazon dropoff location, go inside, interact with people while exposing myself and family, to symptoms that could result in death in order to utilize my Prime member free shipping and returns benefits. This is not only unacceptable, it’s insulting.
If the people attending an Amazon dropoff location are anything like the Amazon delivery workers who enter apartment buildings wearing exactly zero protective gear, while delivery packages to your door, the odds that those working at an Amazon dropoff location is exercising any better safety protocol, are slim to none. My life is worth more than a $21 set of battery operated stick-on accessory lights.
I’m asking Starxing to kindly refund my credit card charges promptly, and provide a method for me to return this product without shipping charges and without putting me out my family in danger.
We all know the true evidence of a great company is how they handle problems with customers, and how they treat their employers. I’ll be sure to write a follow up here, after an adequate interval of time has elapsed.
Thank you.
