The fryer has a defective basket handle attachment that caused the outer basket to fall from the inner basket just by pulling out the basket (without pressing the release button). The first and only time we used it was to make fries and chicken wings... When the timer went off, I pulled it out, and the outer basket fell off. The handle is very floppy. Again, I was not pushing the release button. Luckily, it was over the counter and only fell a few inches, but if it were above the floor, it could have been much worse. We ate the meal, which was perfectly cooked and delicious. Cleanup was very easy. But the dangerous handle flaw is a deal breaker. We originally wanted to get the digital 5.8 quart Cosori, but I read some low reviews about the handle issue. At the bottom of the Amazon page I saw that there was a "newer" model (the manual one we ordered) and it had 100% perfect reviews... I thought maybe the handle problem was fixed.... so I ordered it for my wife's birthday. The handle problem was not fixed. Now we have to return it... very disappointed.
