I would rate this ZERO stars if possible. This is offered as a download or a disc. I ordered a disc. I got a laminated card with a number that allows a download from their site. Excuse me? I opted NOT to download, then had to anyway. I'm a webmaster with network training. I know I didn't imagine ordering a disc. On top of that deception, 2 days after installation, Norton just disappeared from my computer. There is still a folder for the software but all the files are gone. I got Norton tech support to do a remote reinstallation AND to find and fix the problem. All they did was reinstall Norton, which worked for 2 days & it disappeared again. Norton can't or won't explain it. To make matters worse, they have NO American tech support. It's all in India so add in the complications of barely understanding what anyone says. Trying to get tech support via live chat was no better. Repeated requests for an American did no good. They say there are no American tech support people. They offered to connect me with a supervisor. I asked if that would be an American and they said there were no Americans anywhere in support. So after Norton disappeared the second time, I didn't let the India tech support do anything else to my computer. I opted for a refund. I'm not saying the tech support people did anything evil to my computer, but they didn't even attempt to find and fix why Norton disappeared the first time, they just reinstalled it, which obviously didn't fix the problem. I could have done that myself. I'm going to write a complaint letter to Norton. I've used Norton products for over 30 years but I'm looking for something else now. This experience has left me with no anti-viral protection and very frustrated with Norton. I would encourage EVERYONE to write complaint letters to Norton about being offered a disc they won't get, the terrible download process and the fact that they make a huge amount of money from American consumers but refuse to employ Americans for tech support and make American consumers deal with people they can't understand when they call for help. Plus, I'm tired of spending so much time asking these people to repeat things I can't understand. I shouldn't have to work so hard just to communicate with whomever is supposed to provide help.
