To paint a picture.. we are a large Irish family and every single kid was blessed/cursed with some ultrathick, wirey, unruly, halo of hair. We are talking pounds of the stuff. Boys and girls. It goes from ringlets to waves. I am on a continuous hunt for "that" miracle product, that will make our lives more manageable and make us hate the ginger moptop a little less. This arrived yesterday and I tried it out on my sons hair first. He has some pretty tight ringlets and he had just gotten up from him nap, so we are talking some pretty serious bedhead. A moderate dousing on dry hair and a run through with fingers and comb. First off the stuff smelled like that cheap white rain non-aerolsol hair spray from the 90s. Second I noticed the more it dried the gummier it felt. His hair looked pretty rough to say the least, but I thought "hey, let's give it another go." Today after everyone had a bath or shower, I caught the kids one by one and once again sprayed them down.. this time with wet hair. Same effect. Just gumminess. From ringlets to waves, no ones hair liked this stuff. A few hours later, we looked like that episode of Seinfeld where they lose their shower water pressure. It was pretty horrifying. I really wanted to like this based on other reviews, but sorry to say, the hunt for a leave in curl defining conditioner continues.
