★★☆☆☆
Major Manufacturing Oversight
Heavier than I'd anticipated. That much, I was impressed with. But: As another reviewer noted, the angled lines are definitely incorrect. This is not a deformation issue, it has to do with the actual "line-art" that is printed on the mat— it's as though whoever created the CAD/Illustrator file for the printing portion of manufacturing didn't know how to draw a line at a specific angle, and just sort of estimated. Amazing, really, considering there would have been a grid underneath their working document. Check out the attached photos. Each of the three angled lines that originates from the (0, 0) corner deviates from its original course (which only appears to be correct on the 45° line, anyway) after its label, as though the draftsperson created two separate line segments. Notice on the 45° line that it passes through all the whole- and half-inch grid intersections (prior to the label), then bends and proceeds off at a slightly shallower angle. Not really sure what to say. The carelessness in construction casts serious doubt on how much the manufacturer cares about its products.
