I bought this for my wife as she is Irish/Scottish and loves to cook (and is quite good at it too!). However, she opened up the book and the ingredients are Celtic ingredients (i.e. bee butter?). I was hoping there was some sort of table or glossary which would provide the current social equivalent but there wasn't. My wife and I scoured the internet trying to find viable substitutes for these "authentic ingredients" and spent more time trying to figure out what to use rather than reading the book. My fault for ordering a book like this but the author should really provide substitutes as a lot of ingredients are VERY difficult to find. We returned the book...oh well.
