I've loved all the Gabriel Allon stories but this one was a complete betrayal. Preaching about his version of American politics is within Silva's rights (especially because his stance is so predictably P.C.) but it pollutes his storytelling, discredits his characters and caused a visceral reaction of disgust in this reader. It would be unethical for me to return it after reading most of it, but i feel obligated to warn others what a horrible, arrogant, myopic screed this is. Don't buy it!
