★★☆☆☆
Water, spiders, raccoons and mud.
Update: We used this tent for the second time this weekend. There was rain both nights and we had a lot of water come in the tent. the floor seam let in mud and the seams around the tent where the walls attach to the floor let in water... lots of water. also the rain fly doesn’t really protect the door... but dumps water on the bottom zipper. I don’t suggest anyone sleep on the floor of this tent due to water and animal intrusion... its super easy for spiders to get in too. The tent requires seam sealant and DWR coating before use. We will definitely be looking for a different solution. **** **** **** **** We used this tent for one night last night. We plan to try it again in the future, but I’m not sure this is the best solution for us. It is nice to combine the Jeep and Tent into one living space. but the jeep tailgate opens Left to Right and blocks the tent door partially when open. When attaching to a jeep, the tent needs to be positioned behind the rear wheel wells to get a better seal... but still bugs, snakes, raccoons, etc can find a way in. A raccoon shimmied into the tent to grab our marshmallows as we were getting the site ready for bedtime. and he couldn’t get out. We also sprayed extra bug spray around the joining point. I wouldn’t use this somewhere with scorpions, etc. Inside, there is one loop overhead to hang a lamp, no place for a hear hammock.
