These are fine for $20, but that comes with a cost.
To start this review off, I want to say that unless you simply can't afford $60 in any way, buy the FiiO FH1s instead. You could read my FH1s review for more info on that if you like.
These aren't terrible. They aren't, but they are $20, and the manufacturer is (in my opinion) is not worth buying from. To put this simply: they lie to you in order to get your money. To make it seem like their product is worth more than it actually is. It is not. Do not believe them. For what this product costs long term, it is a TERRIBLE investment. And if you're serious about audio in any capacity, you should consider it an investment. Your money is going towards a company who doesn't care about you with these. They just want your money. So they give you the cheapest garbage they can make and just sell it to you. And then they try to convince you that their more expensive option is worth it over the cheapest one. But they sound exactly the same. I noticed this, and felt very angry at KZ. How could I tell, you ask? The frequency response graph. The biggest offender. If you look at the chart they show for this headphone and their more expensive ZS10 Pro, they look much different. The ZS10 Pro looks WAY smoother. And you know why? You want to know why? Because KZ took the graph for the ZSN Pro, and CHANGED THE SCALE! THEY CHANGED THE SCALE OF THE GRAPH! SO THAT THE DIFFERENCES ARE EXAGGERATED 10X OVER! If you compensate for the scale difference of the shown graphs, the sound signature is identical. Literally one for one the same stuff. That INFURIATES me. Especially because their $50 IEM offers NOTHING better over their $20 one. The wire is the same, the tips are the same, the build is the same, the sound is the same. The ONLY difference is how many drivers are there making the sound. That is so unbelievably scummy that I can't do anything more than say that you should never support this company.
