READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU’RE BUYING
My only purpose in deciding to buy a Waterpik was to use it for periodontal attention as suggested by my dental hygienist. Total surprise when it arrived with 4 flossing tips but not the tip for deep cleaning “below the gum line,” part of the description of this Waterpik model. Potential buyers should also realize that this is definitely not a “travel” model, as it is too big for most people to give up suitcase space to take it along. Finally, as compared to my old Waterpik, the construction of this model is cheap and the noise it makes is very loud. The more expensive model is only $10 more than this one and includes the periodontal tip. I should have bought it. Next time I will read more carefully so I am not mislead by manufactures’ flowery descriptions of their product! Update: i’ve used this for about 2 weeks and am exchanging it for the more expensive model which is only $10 more. For the small difference in price, i’m hopeful the new one isn’t as “flimsy” due to its larger size. The controls on the cheaper model are awkwardly placed on the handle and body of the water container and not as touch friendly as i’d hoped. But it’s passable if you don’t feel like spending the $10 exyra bucks!
