I got the Audible version of this two days ago, and started listening. I wish I had also got the Kindle version because then I could cut and past a small excerpt to explain my problems with the book. There are a lot of speculative stories and opinions, references to poor studies or even TV shows. To me it is not as scientific and rigorous as I was expecting, nor did it really explain the imperative for this Scout Mentality or how one would even control their "mentality" anyway. The idea makes sense, but so do a lot of things people just say in just normal conversation, and that's how this Audible book struck me. I'd love to chat at a party with the author, or watch her speak in a YouTube video, but paying so much for an audiobook is not a good choice for me. I have limited time for reading, and listening, and want to maximize the actual facts, science and innovative ideas I expose myself to, and this books while an interesting idea is not hard science enough. 2/5
