My Ninja Blender Turned On Me. It wasn't pretty.
I bought tNin blender about 8 months ago. I never loved it. The jar is hard to get on the base, and the lid finicky to clamp on. The base is big and clunky and the suction cups used to hold the blender in place is awkward. It is also hard to clean But it worked well enough until this week when it went Ninja Nuts and turned on me. I put a little dishwater liquid and warm water in the blender to clean it and turned it on. About 5 seconds into the process plastic and water started flying everywhere. Having a teen son has made me pretty proficient with my own Ninja moves and I managed to pull the plug unscathed until I stepped back onto a shard of plastic with my bare foot. I'll skip sharing the words the spewed forth from my mouth. No worries my foot will heal but the blender is as one friend put it DONE. And to that I say good riddance. I have no idea what happened. Maybe there was crack in the plastic, maybe the Ninja blender was just fed up with my choice of smoothies. But I am moving on to another blender and offering a warning to approach the Ninja Blender with caution. Maybe this was a fluke. Maybe not.
