Booted it, looked like it would be fine... runs the Windows 10 setup, okay, I'm in. Looks nice, decently fast. Walk away for 10 minutes to let it finish setup, come back, whole PC is frozen. Huh. Hard reset, comes back fine, works for a bit, freezes. Hard reset. Try fully patching it and activating Windows (though the key given on the unit did not work for either Windows 10 Home or Pro, I have MSDN so I can try to work around that). Let it patch. Freezes. Hard reset. Start downloading Office, hoping that the freezes are related to it being previously unpatched. Wait a bit, message pops on the monitor saying the hard disk was not found. Gave up. Evidently the generic SSD they threw in here is a piece of junk. I was going to use this as a Christmas present for my brother, now I'll have to use a spare SSD I have laying around and pray there's nothing else wrong with it. I had already ordered a second unit as a Plex server, but if this is the quality I can expect from a "Certified Refurbished" unit, I'll pass. Update: I attempted to cancel the order but the seller did not honor the cancellation and I just got a shipping notice. I'll try and work with the second unit as a Plex server when it arrives, but I am very dissatisfied with this seller.
