Book four of how many? **SPOILER ALERT**
I have enjoyed reading the Crossfire Series, but I want closure. I like how the writer made this book reflect both Gideon' s P.O.V. and Eva's P.O.V., but it is getting ridiculous. This book was good, but it really seems like the writer can goon and on and stretch the series even further. Initially this book series was a trilogy, now it's a what? Give us closure. We like their story, but you could have ended it with three or even four books. I honestly felt like I could have learned everything from this entire book in five chapters. And although I understood Eva's conflict and issues with Gideon; it feels like this was forced to stretch the series. Just end it with a Happy Ever After.
Their story is interesting and was good for the first three books, now the writer is grasping. It was refreshing reading both of their point of views, but the lack of closure overshadows any positive feedback I could give. Tell me, do I have to wait until November 2015 or January 2016 to find out how their story ends?
I am an avid book reader. I enjoy reading. When I first read this series, I was excited to see how it would culminate and resolve. I thought the author was brilliant. And I thought about purchasing other books she has wrote. But now, I am pretty sure I will not read any more of this particular author's books, because she can not deliver a complete story in three or four books. Honestly a waste of my time and money.
Good luck! And next time, stick to three (pushing it four) books in a series. We lose interest waiting for the book, then reading it only to find out that you want to keep extending the story. After a while, the author begins to grasp at straws and the characters, story, or plot loses its integrity. I do not think I would have minded the series so much if: 1) the writer told me ahead of time, how many books I had to read to find closure; 2) And, all of the books reflected the series (or the final book with both characters P.O.V.'s ended it nicely).
