I "upgraded" this from the 2011 version. I wish I didn't. I have been using the same password for countless years. They now have a ridiculous requirement that the password needs to be changed right off the bat, and then every 90 days after that. You can't just say "forget this" and go back to the old version, because one of the steps in upgrading the software is them changing the data format. This means QuickBooks holds your data hostage unless you agree to their password changes. You can't go back and use the data with the 2011 version again without deleting 2017 from your computer, reinstalling 2011, and restoring from a backup drive. All of which I may very well end up doing. I can understand tougher password restrictions for the cloud version. But a program sitting on my PC, I, not Intuit, should be the one deciding whether and how often the password should be changed. I wish I never bought this "upgrade".
