The only reason I'm giving this food two stars is for the company's practice of continually decreasing the size of the bag while increasing its price. When Solid Gold was owned by a different company, I used to be able to buy a 20 pound bag of this food. Also, the company participated in a frequent buyer plan. When they were bought out by the present company, they discontinued the frequent buyer program with no notice and no acknowledgment, much less any consolation prize in the form of some sort of incentive, to loyal customers. Also, the size of the bag was reduced to 15 pounds. A while back, I noticed that the bag size had been reduced again to 12 pounds, and the last time I went to purchase this food at a local pet store, the size of the largest bag was only 10 pounds. If my cat's didn't treat it like kitty crack, I would never buy it again. But I am a slave to my felines, so I will continue to support this insupportable company.
