I bought this couch about a month ago and was super excited because I read such good reviews. Once we got it, we found the assembly difficult because the instructions were not very clear. After putting it together, I noticed for the next few days that my asthma started to flare up, and I began having headaches. The chemical odor from the couch was intense. After going to my doctor and telling them about my new asthma flare up, they told me that because the return policy wasn't great (I couldn't return it), I should try to let it air out in our spare bedroom because it was quite obviously making me sick and unable to breath correctly. After airing it out for a month in our spare bedroom with a fan blowing out the window, the chemical smell still won't go away, and even going in the room is making my partner and me sick. When I tried to explain to the seller that I needed to return the couch because I was LITERALLY SICK FROM THEIR PRODUCT, they wanted to charge me $150 to send the item back (that's half of what we bought it for). I feel totally cheated and really upset with this company. It is unfair to me, someone with multiple health problems, to not be able to return this couch. I have asked for a return from the seller again because the return process is so unreasonable. UPDATE: The seller will not let me return the couch even though it is making me physically sick. This is very disappointing and unreasonable. I do not recommend that anyone buy this couch because not only does the couch strongly smell of chemicals, the seller obviously does not care about the wellbeing of their customers.
