Wildly varying readings depending on temperature (no ATC)
Don't buy a TDS meter without ATC (automatic temperature compensation)! Models with ATC are only a few dollars more.
I foolishly bought this based on the number of 5 star reviews and didn't know about how much the liquid temperature will affect the reading
For tap water that is around 200-300 ppm (typical) you can see a 50ppm difference in just 10 degrees (F) temperature change.
