See the photos of that wonderfully simple interface that is easy for kids to use? GONE.
I bought this device because I wanted the parental controls and the really great kids interface with the carousel design. The giant icons (2-3 per screen) and easy swipe navigation were perfect for toddlers to understand and use. With the latest update of the freetime app, that interface is now completely gone and your child is now forced to navigate a screen with 50 or so icons and category headings written in text that no toddler can read. It is basically the same as a home screen designed for an adult except with brighter colors. I wanted my toddler to be able to use this device independently of me, but now he has very little hope of that. I would have been better off buying an ipad since the complexity of the interface is now about the same. This is no longer a device that a young child can use easily.
