I'm not sure if we are all reading the same book, but all the 5 stars has me completely puzzled. Nothing in this book adds up or makes a lick of sense!? We get our H running from a mate who hurt her, and we don't get the Specifics right away, but we get the gist that it's bad. As she is fleeing from her horrid situation she has a accident and ends in a town not on any maps she seen. Now it goes downhill and fast! She see's hot men everywhere and can't look away, these men make her tingle and are smoking hot. And as we read on for about 70% of this book our H who can't seem to help herself and is checking them out and berating herself every other page. I'm going to be honest, a abused, batter women who's running from a ex isn't going to even think about the next dude or dudes. All her actions are so far from a women running for her life. In one instinct she puts on a dress and heals she bought while running away?? This is explained because she might have job interviews in her future? But decides to wear this hot number downstairs to the bar? A women running has few choices and conversing money yet she bought a little black dress and heals?? now downstairs staring at one of these hot guys ( rolling eyes) he ends up fighting with other said hot guy, these dudes get into a huge brawl and instead of running off from the violence of aggressive men. She climbs up on a table to watch better? None of this screams a women hidding, staying to herself, or abused. She quite literary a far cry from what the authors are trying to betray? Now if that wasn't ridiculous enough, our H is a shifter, yet when she lands in this shifter town she doesn't realize they are all shifter!!?? How??? They growl, sniff at her, have strange eyes? Their are even wolf's running around everywhere and in town. Yet none of this shifter stuff registers to a shifter? Come on! And now @ 70% do we get what her ex has down, so now we know there is something they didn't like to lock down her wolf and reject her. So the authors now decide to thrown in some unknown magic power she had because, why not, this book isn't making any really sense and had been nothing but pages filled with our H libido! So why not right? Then our H has sex with one of the guys are runs away. Blah blah blah. Most ridiculous book I've read in a long time. Dnf @84%
