The Worst Alarm Clock In The World
Where do I start with this inferior, poorly-designed product?
Here's the good news: It comes with a USB adapter, and its instructions are among the most well-written I've ever seen in an ultra-cheap knockoff product. That's all the good news.
Here's the rest: The USB adapter serves as the power source instead of a wall plug (that would have added expense and would not be compatible in all countries). That saves the manufacturer money. That is the entire reason for the existence of this alarm clock: to produce a product that promises a lot but delivers little while generating profits for its seller who has managed to create the cheapest possible object that would still look good in pictures on Amazon.
Just how awful is it? Let me count the ways:
1. You can't read the labels on the seven buttons gathered around the digital clock readout when the ring lights around it are shining directly in your face.
2. There are only three brightness settings for the clock numerals: moderately dim (not dim enough for sleeping), bright and off
3. When the radio is on, there is no clock readout.
4. If you want to turn down the sound, you must turn it all the way up as loud as it will go until it recycles to 0, then goes up from there. Too bad for your bedmate who is already asleep when you're decyphering this inexplicable user interface
5. It offers to "set sunset time" But you must figure out when the sun sets at your location on that date. Oh, wait, they don't mean sunset. "Sunset" means going to sleep in this context, so the device fades the light and sounds until you doze off. That works.
6. There is no indicator showing if the alarm is on or not, a basic function of all alarm clocks. The alarm indicator on this clock goes away after you set the alarm, making you guess if it will wake you up in the morning.
7. If you set it to wake you up to FM radio, the radio station frequency will display when it wakes you up rather than what time it is.
8. It is made of the cheapest plastic in the world and is as light as a feather.
9. Its speaker sounds distorted and is hard to listen to at any volume.
10. Using it as a colorful light, it can't cycle through its colors, but just stays there on one (selectable) color.
I'll stop there. The list goes on and on, but you get the idea. The result: This is the worst alarm clock I have ever seen. If you have anyone sleeping in the same room with you, you are going to be enemies soon if you keep using this clock. This is complete junk. Do not waste your time or money.
