Save your cash.
I fail to see why this is even offered. The echo device is a fairly inexpensive device, which sits comfortably on a surface of your choosing. There is no need to touch it, no reason for it to incur damage or require replacement. If you account for depreciation and inflation, then factor in the extreme unlikelihood of damage occurring to the device in the average home, this is a complete waste of money. Also keep in mind the fact that Amazon will likely be making tweaks and upgrades to the system design over time, and that by the time yours breaks, buying a new one, rather than receiving a refurbished replacement from the Insurer would be the preferable way to go.
