This is a dangerous product. There is no mechanism to hold or lock the top in place and the top is so sensitive to touch that just the slightest pressure activates the blade action. On my first use, I was just going to grind some crackers to make crumbs. I put the crackers in the container and just barely set the top in place. Just putting the top on started the blade, the crackers spun up, hit the top and the top flew off and just barely missed hitting me. The crackers flew all over the kitchen, as far as 10 or 12 feet away.... even into my hair. Now that I knew how sensitive the machine was, I decided to try using it again, very carefully, thinking that it was my error the first time. The same thing happened again even with my extreme caution. I have used mini choppers for 20 plus years and have never had this experience. I am sure that whoever designed this product was not a home cook and certainly never used it.
