not 250 pounds
I bought this for use in the kitchen of my new house. I love the appearance, and it seemed to be sturdy, good quality. I have now owned this stool for 5 months, and it has been used by only me about 10 times. Although it is rated as good for up to 250 lbs, I weigh 145 and it broke apart when I stepped down onto the bottom step, hurting my ankle terribly.
