Cool headset, but...
So let me start off by saying these goggles are super nice to wear. Really comfortable with the eye pads. I like the case that it comes in and the fact that you can put the battery in your pocket as you fly. The PIP function is nice , though since I had them , I hardly used that function.
These are my second headset. My first being the eachine vr d2. I have been running a cloverleaf and a panel antenna from the VR D2 on both. So the only thing I can compare the spexman to is that headset. I like the feel of the spexman, but I hate they do not perform better than my vr d2s. maybe it's just the way that the interference shows on the spexmans, but with the vr d2s I feel that I get better range before cut out. Yes I'm running diversity on spexmans, yes full battery, open field. I even tried with an Rd40 diversity receiver ground station, slightly better but not as good as my other headset.
Update: ill raise it up a star, but let me be clear on a couple things.
the headset functions how it supposed to and feel great on my head. the battery lasts long enough for a days of flying. I like the long battery cable to put the battery in my pocket.
that being said I guess I was spoiled by the range of my other shoebox goggles and these had a bit lower range and I didn't like how the interference or drop outs that I get when my other headset gets less dropout at the same range.
Just my two cents IMO
update 2: I have been contacted by flysight through email. I respect all companies starting out and selling products and standing by them and asking if there is anything that they can help make your experience better, and I appreciate it, but..... I don't respect a company that hunts me down through gmail and insisting I take down my review and talking about my family. so one star it is.
