We've had this pan for a couple of months now, and use it a few times a week. Unlike all of our other stainless steel pots and pans, every time I wash this pan, my fingers are covered in a black residue that does not easily wash off. Note: The seller has since offered a refund, which is appreciated, and I will be following up with that. Additional info: Last night I vigorously scrubbed all sides of the pan with a scotch brite pad until it was shiny silver (as I always do), and towel dried it according to the seller's feedback (dubious about this, as it is supposed to be stainless steel). This morning, I pulled it out of the rack clean, still shiny silver, and washed it again. My fingers got black just like when I wash it after cooking with it. I have attached a photo. It takes multiple hand washings with a nail brush to get the stain out, and you can still see it and it takes a long time to get out from your nails. 50 years of scrubbing pots and I've never seen anything like this, and I don't think I'll use the pan any more because I'm afraid of what might be getting into our food.
