Installed on brand new RADCITY electric bike. I am 215 lbs, 6'1" 58 years old. I should not be breaking bike seats just riding on pavement. Seat is dangerous due to how it is held together with one single nut (no backside washer) though a plastic shell under the front of the seat that can easily break way causing seat to flip back and loosing your riding balance. I ended up on the ground with lots of scrapes and bruises after one foot hit the ground when the seat broke causing my weight to shift backwards over the back of the seat. As I began to fall backwards over the back of the seat, one foot feet came off the pedal and hit the ground as I was going for the brakes. The bike spun around my body and landed on top of my legs as I went another 15 feet on my rear on the pavement. Bike fortunately did not sustain any major damage but my legs and cloths were not so lucky. Luckily I did not end up in getting run over. Upon further examination it is obvious that the design of the seat using a single bolt and nut with no backside washer can easily pull through or fracture the plastic shell and cause a bad accident. I could have hurt far worse than I was. The first 25 miles of riding was very nice and comfortable on this seat and would never have expected a product defect / engineering design could have existed. I am not going to be replacing this seat with same due to the accident. I was impressed with the reviews this seat had when I bought it. Buyer beware that it is not structurally sound. Now I am going back to the original seat that came with the bike and is obviously built better but less comfortable.
