I'm the first to rave about a good product and usually rather not take the time to write a bad review if i really don't have anything good to say about a product, but since a carseat holds our children's life i'm going to say it: DO NOT BUY THIS CARSEAT! As others have indicated, the reclyning system is poorly designed. I installed it forward facing for my 18month old and could not get the darn thing to reclyne a notch. Once it's positioned you cannot move it. which is a bummer because if the little one falls asleep in the middle of the ride, I'd like to have the option to recline him so he can nap safely and comfortably. well, you simply cannot do that with this carseat! Every time my little one fell asleep, I had to pull over, get the belt all the way out, adjust the reclyning position and then secure the belt again. We bought this carseat right before a roadtrip and I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've cursed the darn thing. In the more upright position, my sleeping child's head at some point ends tup tilting forward as the side panels are not deep enough for the child's head to lean to the side. This is why I'd like to have the option to reclyne him when he falls asleep. Is it too much to ask??? Ps. when we first bought it I tried installing it facing back, just to see how the child would fit. I have a VW Passat with a very spacious back seat and great legroom. well-this seat is way too bulky for my car. If I put my child rear facing, he'll have no legroom at all. and he's not even a big baby. Can't believe all the poor choices Graco made designing this product. stay away from it to save yourself the frustration to have to deal with a pretty bad carseat.
