These were delivered yesterday and I was excited to try the calming treats on my hyperactive little dog. I gave both of my dogs one treat and they seemed to enjoy them. About 15 minutes after consuming the bone my larger dachshund was acting drunk. Swaying when he stood still and stumbling around. He seemed to be hallucinating, flinching at the slightest change in light or any movement within his range of vision. When he began vomiting and going totally limp I rushed him to the vet and brought the bag of treats with me. On the way to the emergency vet I read the bag and noticed the treats were made in China. I am always so careful not to buy Chinese made dog products, I know they have a bad reputation for making dogs seriously ill. For whatever reason I didn't specifically look for the Made in China stamp when I bought these, maybe because they aren't real raw hide. The vet told me he sees many cases of dogs poisoned by treats from China. My dog is okay, no kidney or liver damage and he's eating and acting normally today, but what a scare. Don't buy these, there are a lot of very reasonably priced treats made in the US and it is so worth a few extra bucks to prevent your dog for being poisoned and the resulting medical bills.
