From the start, QB for Mac files have not been easily transferrable from Windows to Mac. The Windows user needs to do a special export, to create a mac.QBB file and then it has to be imported into your Mac. It often doesn't work properly (like once a year) and then you are absolutely screwed. On 2 occasions I have spent 2 hours on the service with their terrible customer support (In China or India, with a heavy accent & reading from a script). If the file doesn't they then give you the option to send them your company file in shock case they will restore to open properly for an additional fee of $250.00 (that is not a typo). Or you can subscribe to a support plan which includes such file transfers for only $300/year. These people are ultimately crooks in my opinion, and if you don't need to use intuit products, you should avoid them. There are alternatives, but i have to buy this crap and use it because I'm a Mac guy and my accountant uses Quickbooks. I'm on the lookout for a class action suit, but they have so many suits against them that it is hard to find one for this particular ripoff..
