Purchased this phone for my elderly parents who live in a remote area. This phone stopped working after only 6 months of minimal use. Here are my elderly parents picking up the phone when I call to see how they're doing. "Hello? Hellooo?" They can't hear me because the speaker in the handset stopped working. The reason I purchased this phone was as a last resort in case they run into any trouble up there. Imagine my parents trying to call an ambulance if there were a medical emergency. The reason I chose this phone is because it looked absolutely foolproof. It's a physically wired handset with large buttons. What could go wrong? Cheap construction maybe at a premium price? Poor customer service? Contacted vendor, EZ living aids, who refused to take return or exchange. If that's the experience you're looking for, you've come to the right place! Also, even if I didn't have problems, it is not a good phone to begin with. It's loud-ish, but the microphone has one small hole to it that is easily covered up if the handset isn't held just right. Not good. Avoid.
