Terrible warranty, misleading instructions, and poor workmanship! Do not buy! We bought two of these sets (one for us and one for my mother.). Our set had a lid that was cracked in several places, right out of the box. My mother warmed up some soup in one of her containers with the lid in place (As the instructions say is permitted. In another place on the box they advise against it, making the instructions contradictory and misleading. My mother is elderly and doesn't see small type very well, so this was not an error on her part.). The result was that the lid was permanently sealed to the container and could not be removed unless the glass container was broken into bits. So I called Glasslock and told them we needed replacements for these two pieces (our fractured lid and my mother's lid and container). I explained their ambiguous instructions stating that warming food with the lid in place is allowed prior to the customer representative telling me it is not advised. In any regard, she said they would replace the items but I would have to pay shipping and handling (almost $9.00!). I told her I didn't feel that we should have to pay anything extra since the replacement pieces were needed due to poor workmanship and faulty instructions on their part. Glasslock refused to budge, even though I told them that they could afford the nearly $9.00 shipping cost more than we could, and it was by their negligence, not ours, that created the situation. They still would not budge. Lastly, I gave way, but told them how unhappy I was with their sub-par quality and the disregard with which they treat their customers, and I also informed them that I felt it incumbent on me to give an honest review and inform other potential customers of what kind of product and company they are. They didn't seem to care. So buyer beware! Read the other reviews about breaking lids (we haven't owned our long enough for this likely fate, but I don't doubt it will happen. Stay away from Glasslock and shop another product.
