This one is terrible. Let me list all the reasons why
I wish I had listened to everyone who said to spend a little more and get a serger of decent quality. This one is terrible. Let me list all the reasons why: -For every half hour I spend on this machine, twenty minutes of it is rethreading. The thread jumps out of multiple tracks when running, and rethreading is an absolute nightmare. Parts of the rethreading process are recessed inside the case where you can't see, so getting the thread seated is a matter of pulling and hoping it catches. Plus, the instructions leave out critical parts, like how the second looper thread lays with the first looper, and so on. Areas you can't reach are behind obstructions so you can't get the tweezers back there either. Good luck rethreading at all if you're left handed. -The parts are cheap. I work with 5.3oz medium weight linen. If I put more than 3 layers through at a time, the blade breaks. I run six layers through other models with no problem. -The suction cups on bottom don't work and the serger travels all over the table. I have to hold the top with one hand and feed fabric with the other. -The troubleshooting guide is laughably unhelpful. Out of the box, it wouldn't do a 4 thread stitch at all and it took a Youtube video from someone else with the same model showing how to set the tensions right. Seriously, spend more and get a higher quality model. I've seen the difference and it's worth it.
