Our household has purchased nothing by Angel Soft for over a decade. It always offered the right balance of softness, strength, and value for us. We've been subscribed to this particular product on Amazon since 2013. Until earlier this year, the listing was always for a quantity of 48 rolls, shipped as 12 packs of 4 rolls each. The paper was always the same quality, just as we'd come to trust. When our February 2016 shipment arrived, the product was changed to 4 packs of 12 rolls each. Along with the packaging change came a noticeable decrease in quality. We thought perhaps it was a fluke or bad batch, so we allowed one more shipment to arrive before passing judgment. Sadly, our June 2016 shipment is more of the same inferior quality toilet paper. The new paper isn't as soft or strong as the Angel Soft we used loyally for so many years. The texture is scratchy now, the flimsier plies shred easily, and the rolls are also difficult to get started due to either stronger glue or weaker paper. Sadly, after being long time purchasers, we're going to have to switch to another brand unless the quality is restored.
