We purchased this product and had some of the same issues other buyers had, a fussy dial that starts and stops and the machine jamming from time to time. But my daughter was able to create with it in spite of that. What we can't get around now is that 2 of the 3 needles have broken through the course of gentle to normal use. When I emailed their customer service to purchase replacement parts, they responded with this: "Regrettably, for safety reason, it is not possible to replace the needle, and we apologize for the inconvenience." & "Regrettably we would not be able to replace that as it is more than 30 days old. Thank you for your understanding." Bottom Line: Consider that this product will break with normal use and manufacturer will not assist when that happens.
