Contains sugar and self-contradicting labeling, suspect contains fillers
UPDATE: Tested it multiple times and consistently have problems with this product. After carefully smelling it, I can also smell something different in it. Normally psyllium smells slightly salty, but this smells slightly sweet. This product should be taken off the market. I do not recommend this product. Choose another brand. If you don't want to read the rest, just look at the nutritional facts. This product also gave me a rash. Note: I have tried many brands including Konsyl, Metamucil, Yerba Prima, even CVS brand. The product itself almost looks whitish and "pure" or filtered. I don't think this is a good thing as the most effective brand I've used is gritty and looks/tastes like there is sand or grit in it. Some issues that makes this product troubling: - 25% sugar content according to nutritional facts - numbers do not add up; somehow contents are higher than serving size - calcium and other mineral content is different than other brands - sodium content is different - gels up less - softer - tastes more pleasant for some odd reason On top of all this, I had an adverse reaction to this product. I have used other brands of psyllium husk for a long time and in large quantities. I have only had this kind of adverse reaction to certain processed foods high in sugar or oats. I heavily suspect this product is tainted. I'm going to try this product in moderation for a week just to verify and will update this. I will also be contacting Amazon about this product and the way it is labeled and my concerns with the safety of the product.
