This is a review based entirely on what I feel is an incorrect and misleading product description. Under the Product Description, under the subheading of “Other User-Friendly Features” the very first bullet point states: “20 minute run time for increased shredding in one session.” It is the whole reason we went with this product. And yet, when we opened our package today, low and behold in the product manual it says “Do not shred continuously for more then 3 minutes at a time. Running the unit for too long may make the motor overheat...” I have included a picture of this page. So, I double checked to make sure we were sent the same model listed as the one we purchased, and the one I am writing this review on. We did. Model # 1757391 (I've double checked the model number a couple of times now on the product description just to make sure), for which the manufacturer states on Amazon that there is a 20 minute run time. Which apparently is not the case. So I don't particularly care how long this holds up, because at this point, I feel like this product was misrepresented, and that misrepresentation caused me to purchase it, paying more money then I otherwise would have. If I only wanted a run time of 3 minutes, I would have gone with one of the Amazon Basics shredders. They are quite a bit cheaper. But we have a heavy volume of items to shred, hence that 20 minute run time sounded super awesome, but is apparently far from accurate, and if the user manual is correct, it needs to be removed from the product description.
