I am very ill with pain in my abdomen I have only taken 2 one half teaspoon and 1 teaspoon last three days. I read another review from 2015 and I am very upset about what I read. I have alloy stents in two veins in my pelvis that I was concerned about when I ordered this. Don't want !!! Isn't the manufacturer supposed to be answering these questions? I see contradictory consumer feedback regarding the taste and smell of this supplement which indicates that what Amazing Herbs is shipping as Cold Pressed Black Cumin Seed Oil is not a consistent and reliable product. As per my research, high quality black cumin seed oil is supposed to taste pleasant and spicy/peppery. A kerosene-like taste is indicative of an oil extraction method using solvents, as opposed to the cold pressed method advertised by Amazing Herbs. I also found an FDA Warning Letter to Amazing Herbs including a list of FDA violations in their quality control, including: "You failed to conduct at least one appropriate test or examination to verify the identity of any component that is a dietary ingredient prior to its use, as required by 21 CFR 111.75(a)(1)(i). Specifically; you used black seed oil and flax seed oil from bulk shipments in your Amazing Herbs Black Seed Cold-Pressed Oil and Amazing Herbs Black Seed & Flax Seed Oil Blend products, without conducting and documenting at least one appropriate test or examination to verify the identity of each of these dietary ingredients." People with immune system deficiencies such as asthma, eczema, allergies, etc, who would benefit from high quality cold pressed black cumin seed oil should not be taking solvents with their supplements.
