I bought this powerstrip because I needed a heavy duty powerstrip in my garage for my tools. My old powerstrip had six outlets and I needed a strip with more outlets. I don't operate more than two tools at the same time but it's convenient not to plug out and in tools all the time. I usually start my shop vac first. the shop vac is plugged in to my miter saw or table saw. both are relatively small 110v home tools. then I start the saw. I've never had a problem running these two tools simultaneously with my old powerstrip. Qith this one, 5-10 seconds after I start the second tool, the powerstrip get overloaded and the safety switch shuts everything down. I've tried to unplug everything and only plug these two tools/devices just to be safe but this powerstrip just can't handle them. Maybe I've got a faulty unit. I have no idea but I'll try my luck with another powerstrip.
