I've only used the toaster a few times and today, while toasting 2 slices of bread (one each side), in the midst of the toasting, all the control button lights started flashing and it would not release my toast! Even after unplugging it and replugging it in, it would not release the toast. I had to dig it out. After several minutes unplugged I was able to get it 'reset.' I searched Breville's support site, and another person had the same problem and Breville said it was probably a problem with the electronic controls. A toaster that cost this much should be able to toast without electronic failure! I thought this was such a cool toaster - and when it does work, it toasts very evenly and nicely (albeit very slowly!), but I'm very dissapointed. I'm glad I bought it at Amazon. I appreciate their great return policy.
