Following the recommendations of the seller I washed these towels in warm water and then dried them. They were soft, thin but that was OK, and lots of lint. (See photo of the drier screen). I then washed them again, just in cold water, dried, and still tons of lint. So I did it a third time. My expectation was the lint - fiber dust and loose fine strands of cotton - would decrease like all my previous towels. But no. (See photo of 3 balls of lint). I can already see that some of the edges are going after three washings. Returned. Update: 5/2020. I bought some towels from a highly rated company that is not on Amazon. Turkish cotton, much thicker, very fluffy and a bit larger. Washed them - NO LINT - and still very fluffy after washing. Almost exactly twice the price. Never thought I would have to pay so much for nice towels however I am hopeful they last me 10 years like my old ones. .
