The first time I purchased these masks, I was very happy with it. Each mask was individually-wrapped, and the masks themselves were thick and well-padded. In my pictures, I've shown one image of a grey mask that I purchased the first time around. As you can see, it has 5 layers (including a carbon filter). Unfortunately, the second time I purchased these masks, I am not happy with it. The masks came in the same outer packaging; however, they were not individually-wrapped. Further, the material itself was much thinner and less qualitative than the ones I purchased the first time around. I decided to take one apart, to see how it looked on the inside. Sadly, there are only 4 layers contained within these newer masks (no carbon filter). I'm not sure how protective these masks will be, but if I purchase a five-layer filter mask, I expect it to have five layers.
