Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

This item is NOT made of 100% bamboo as the description states. The black bristles are common plastic and the handle looks like blonde wood--or maybe bamboo. The bottom line is that it is not an all-natural product by any stretch of the imagination. Worse, as another reviewer expressed accurately, this hair brush SMELLS awful--it has an odor similar to formaldehyde mixed with rubber tires. Fortunately, Amazon has agreed to let me return the brush for a complete refund. What a waste of everyone's time! A final thought: I am growing more and more suspicious of Amazon items which have a huge collection of 4- and 5-Star reviews that have been written "in exchange for a free product". Frankly, this kind of promotion encourages dishonest reviews. After being very disappointed in the quality of two different products marketed in this way, I've decided to AVOID ALL ITEMS listed on Amazon that post copious glowing reviews which sound phony or seem overly positive. **Amazon, by permitting this practice of paying for customer reviews, you are in danger of completely destroying your reputation for honesty, high standards of service, and integrity. My years of loyalty as a Prime Amazon customer are in jeopardy due to this questionable new practice. I urge you not to allow it to continue!
