Not Rugged at all!
I bought this because it was "Rugged". I've dropped my much cheaper Seagate multiple times and never had a problem. The La Cie Rugged fell off my couch onto carpeted floor and is dead. Can't access any files and crashes my computer. Total waste of money and very disappointed. I lost an entire wedding I had just edited, around 20 hours of work. Thankfully I had all my RAW files backed up and still on the cards.
