If I could I would write in big bold red letters WHAT THE ____! You can fill it in, because otherwise Amazon would delete this if I did. I bought two of these, applied them to my vehicle. I was curious how well this product stood up as a sound barrier, so I gave it a test drive. Didn't notice too much of an improvement. So, being concerned, I emailed Dynamat. Now before I provide what was stated from them, please note the title of this product on Amazon's listing - "Dynamat 11103 Sound Absorber". Keywords: Sound Absober. There's a few copies of this same product on Amazon and they're even listed under "Insulation and Noise Control." I live in very moderate climate and there is almost no need for me to insulate heat. What I do need to insulate is the deafening sound that comes from the road and engine when I commute (2-3 hours/day) everday. So, one could reasonably understand my frustration when I received this e-mail from Dynamat: "While the Dynaliner does have some acoustical properties, it is sold mainly as a thermal insulator. If you need assistance in choosing the right product for your application, please contact us again." Now if it isn't going to be *MAILY* sold as an acoustical product, then WHY does the title say it is a SOUND ABSORBER and NOT a thermal absorber?!?!?!?!? I I wanted "some" acoustical properties, I could have stuffed egg carton, packaging foam, and bubble wrap in my car for "some acoustical [damping] properties." And it also makes sense that if it were categorized under "Insulation and Noise Control", that it may not be one or the other, BUT THEN IT SHOULD BE CLARIFIED. COMPLETELY MISLEADING, I can't return this b/c it's now cut up and I'm very upset. If you didn't find this review helpful, please leave a comment as to why.
